I broke my leg on January 16, 2009. After months of rehab I finally decided to share some of my experiences in hopes that I might help others facing similar challenges. Remember, you are not alone, you will get through this, and you will be back on your feet some day soon (or so I tell myself each day to keep going when I want to give up).
My blog title, Cesur, (pronounced jeh-sur) is the Turkish word for brave, courageous, bold, and daring. I use it to remind myself to be all of these things during my rehab and recovery. It also recalls a street kitten I knew in Turkey (see photo above). Despite being the runt of the litter he boldly pursued food and pushed away much older cats to keep his catch. In the midst of pain and setbacks it can be difficult to get up off the mat and try again. But I remind myself of that little kitten, who I named Cesur, and I give it another try.
